Classification of Domain Eukarya.

A) Kingdom Protista

Kingdom protista includes eukaryotes which are unicellular or colonial or filamentous or simple multicellular.

What is Simple multicellular?

Ans: Simple Multicellular means that do not have multicellular sex organs.

:- There re three types of protists.

1. Plant-like 2. Animal-like 3. Fungus-like

1. What is plant-like protists?

Ans: Plant-like protists (called algae) have cells walls made of cellulose. They have chlorophyll in chloroplast and are autotrophs.

Example: Euglena and Diatoms.

2. What is Animal-like protists?

Ans: Animal-like protists (called protozoans) are heterotrophs and ingest food. Their cells have no cell wall.

Example: Amoeba and paramecium.

3. What is Fungus-like protists?

Ans: Fungus-like protists (called molds) absorb nutrients from decaying organic matter. Their cell wall are made of cellulose instead of chitin.

Example: slime molds and water molds.
