WATSON AND CRICK MODEL OF DNA
Each DNA molecule is made of thousands of small units called nucleotides. There are four types of nucleotides in DNA these are Adenine (A) nucleotide, Thymine (T) nucleotide, Cytosine (C) nucleotide and Guanine (G) nucleotide.
According to Watson and Crick model DNA consist of two strands of nucleotide. The two strand are held together by hydrogen bonds between nitrogenous bases of nucleotide of opposite strands. The nitrogenous base Adenine of one strand makes bonds with Thymine of the opposite strand. Similarly, Guanine of one strand makes bonds with cytosine of the opposite strand.
