According to the Agriculture Office, roses are cultivated in 250 hectares of land in Savar. Most of the cultivation is in Birulia, Meestapara, Sadullahpur, Samayr and Shyampur in Birulia union. Two hundred farmers of these areas are cultivating roses commercially. As the yield and demand are good, its caliber is increasing day by day.
The farmers say that due to the lack of rainfall in the current season than the other times, there are many flowers on the tree. Their business is also very good.
