Cindy started out tonight
With so much optimism and promise
Then she and her boyfriend got into a fight
It was inevitable, wasn’t it?
Now she’s crying in the bathroom stall
This is like a bad TV show rerun
She didn’t see it going this way at all
Because she’s got the blinders on

She cracked open the door
To see if anyone might have heard her
It was just her and one other whore
Those were her words, not mine
Their eyes briefly met
As their both were washing their hands
She said, honey, the night’s not over yet
Girl, it’ll be alright. And Cindy felt like a judgmental asshole

Cindy walked back into the bar
The music was making the walls shake
She walked out the door to go to her car
She only had a few drinks that night anyway
Just as she drove away
She took one last glance back to the bar
Just to prove that it wasn’t her day
She slammed into the back of a parked car

I don’t know if you can tell
Cindy’s night didn’t go so well
