This is going to be my first ever post in Hive. It's good to be back! It kinda sucks what's happening in this world right now because of the Pandemic. I'm continually praying that this trial will end soon.
Today is the mark of Holy Week. We cannot attend mass/service because of the quarantine that they imposed in our City. I miss attending already.
Last Saturday, My mom was teaching us a skill on how to fold Palm leaves to get ready for Palm Sunday.
Here's a tutorial on how to do it.
Look for a Palm Tree/ Palmera plant and get a leaf( Luckily we had a plant and just got a branch from it)
Wipe the dirt off from the leaves, we used wet wipes.
Leave a small gap below before splitting the leaf in half using the mid rib as a guide.
Check what side of the leaf do you want to use. We usually use the shiny side( First photo below).
Fold the leaf together
Using the leaf on top fold it inside the midrib forming a triangle
With the other side of the leaf just follow cover it.
Fold the leaf on top upwards creating a triangle again.
Follow it again with the other leaf.
Repeat steps 6 to 9
When you're satisfied already just knot the leaves twice to lock it.
