I have a nice quiet morning going on since the kids spent the night with their grandparents last night. Enjoying a cup of coffee that is actually hot for a change instead of abandoned and lukewarm. It's funny when you get a few minutes alone how the silence can be so profound.
It's usually chaos around here. Twenty things to do at any given moment. I'd love to have more time for posts and writing here on Steem, it just isn't possible a lot of the time. But every parent of young kids knows this chaos. I'm grateful to be able to be with them every day though. (Not saying that a break isn't great - THANK YOU G'MA!)
We are healthy and happy and I'm grateful for that. A friend is mine is going through a really tough time since her daughter has been diagnosed with leukemia. There can't be anything worse that watching your child suffer and be helpless to stop it. So, yes, very grateful for our health.
Work is very, very hectic and stressful, but I'm grateful that I have a job, so many do not. I'm not happy with it, but I need it, and I'm looking to move to a better one at some point. But for now, it works.
So, I'm planning on doing a little housework, then a little yard work, and maybe - just maybe - I'll fit in a little time to go find a freewrite contest and write something.
What are YOU grateful for?
