Monday mornings are sometimes hard enough. Facing another workweek after the weekend has just went poof and disappeared. Before you know it's back to getting up early to get my weight training done before time to get the kids up and ready for school. Those same two kids who were happy to bound out of bed just yesterday at 6:00 am are determined to sleep until noon today.
Tim, the cat, is winding himself around my feet demanding his Special Kitty daily treat and of course he waits until I'm standing in front of the stove trying to cook the bacon.
Finally everyone is dressed and fed, backpacks found, matching shoes and socks. (Some days that much is a real challenge). It's amazing all the places those backpacks can hide.
And now the front door, and pouring-down-gully-washing rain greets us. Damn. Now its finding umbrellas and rain coats. It's a tough enough routine, couldn't it wait to rain until we all get where we're going?
