In the movie "Groundhog Day" the main character was "stuck." Every day was Groundhog Day again and again.

Have you ever been stuck? Are you now?

Have you ever wished you had a second chance to make up for lost opportunity?

I know I have.

Groundhog Day is often associated with do-overs, a chance to redeem ourselves and recommit to our goals for the New Year.
And...

  • If you did not hit it out of the park last year...
  • If you have already abandoned your Resolutions for this year...
  • If you are not as prosperous and fulfilled as you would like...

You need to do something differently, and you need to do it NOW.

If you find yourself stuck, it's time to determine why. With some self-exploration, you can identify the areas of your life that may be keeping you stuck.

Here are some factors that could be behind you staying stuck:
1. You have no accountability system. When you hold yourself accountable and keep a close eye on your goals, you'll be better able to identify when you're stuck in a rut.

2. Your goals are not time-based. You're stuck and you'd like to be unstuck, but chances are you've been putting off working toward your goal. Give yourself a time limit - do it!

3. You are afraid. Being afraid of change is one of the biggest reasons people get stuck in the first place. What is the real root behind the fear that is keeping you stuck?

4. You don’t have positive role models. Find people who have been through your situation or something similar. How did they overcome obstacles and make changes to move forward toward their ideal lives?

5. You are plagued with negative thinking. It's true: your actions first start as thoughts. Remember GIGO? Garbage in, garbage out. Replace negative thinking with positive thoughts; you'll be motivated into positive action!

6. Your self-care is nonexistent or inconsistent. Not setting aside some time for yourself is unhealthy. Schedule self-care time. Make sure you're completely alone without distractions. Mindfully reflect on, and reinforce your WHY.

Taking Action

It's easy to remain in your "stuck" situation because it's familiar and you know what's going to happen.

But, if you’re tired of playing an unpaid actor in your own “Groundhog Day” movie, then realize this: to get unstuck will mean taking action to change.

Where to begin? You could start with those six negative factors above and reverse them into their positive forms.

And if you’d like to really accelerate and put in place tactics that can change your life, here is a resource to help you dramatically move out of the rut.

It's called the
100 Day Challenge...and it's from Gary Ryan Blair. It’s very impressive. It’s been used by over 675,000 people and organizations to increase their productivity.
Check it out for yourself here...

No matter how stuck you may feel today. . .
Tomorrow does NOT have to be the same. It can be better.
