Understanding voting on the WAX blockchain:

There are similarities with voting on Hive.
The more $WAXP you have stacked (in CPU or NET, I talked about this last week) the more voting power you have.

The difference is this:
With your voting power, you vote for producers who correspond to witnesses on HIVE, preferably through a proxy, it doesn't matter which one as long as it makes good use of its 30 votes.
On HIVE, this vote earns you nothing.
On WAX, this vote gives you access to a dividend reward of around 8% APR.
The vote must be renewed or confirmed regularly, otherwise its power degrades over time. I recommend doing this every week to stay at 100% power.
