Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.
#30 - Snabba Cash (Netflix)
La Svezia esulta.
E' nella top 30.
Lo è grazie ad un titolo che non immaginereste mai di vedere in terra Scandinava.
Snabba Cash è un gangster drama alla Gomorra, tutto soldi, ricatti e sangue.
Vite alla deriva- che si incrociano nel più cruento dei modi dando vita ad uno show imperdibile, con un ritmo forsennato ed una capacità di tenere incollati allo schermo straordinaria.

#29 - Hacks (HBO)
Hacks ha vinto moltissimi premi e li ha meritati tutti, soprattutto grazie ad un'attrice come Jean Smart (Watchmen, Fargo) che ha fatto proprio un ruolo caricatissimo e difficile che le ha, però, portato tantissima fortuna.
Siamo dalle parti del dramedy puro per cui nulla di troppo pesante ma neppure, per questo, poco profondo.
#28 - The Good Fight (CBS All Access)
Con The Good Fight entriamo nel novero di quelle serie che adoro da sempre e che credo tutti debbano provare a recuperare.
E', insieme a This Is Us, l'unica serie disponibile sulla tv generalista che ancora merita una visione ed approfondimento.
In questa stagione il racconto solo apparentemente si disunisce e si allontana da molti temi precedentemente affrontati per poi piazzare un colpo di coda finale che riannoda tutti i fili e ci riporta, mani e piedi, dentro la storia e dentro la contemporaneità.

#27 - Ted Lasso (Apple TV Plus)
La seconda stagione di Ted Lasso non è all'altezza della prima ma si avvicina molto. Il baffuto coach vive una stagione calcistica ed esistenziale più complessa e, se vogliamo, più intima.
La sfida sportiva del Richmond continua e per la prima volta viene introdotto e vero villain interno alla serie (fatta esclusione per Rupert nella prima stagione).
Il team si rafforza, nonostante i tanti momenti di rottura e le risate non mancano.

#26 - The Morning Show (Apple TV Plus)
Ancora Apple TV Plus per finire la cinquina odierna.
The Morning Show è forse la serie di punta della piattaforma di Cupertino. Una delle prime ad esordire e quella che, grazie ad un cast d'eccezione, ha nutrito maggiormente l'hype degli abbonati alla piattaforma stessa.
Anche in questo caso la seconda stagione, come per Ted Lasso, non sfonda come la prima ma riesce, comunque, ad esaltarsi in alcune fasi specifiche, specie quelle finali.
L'affondo sulla contemporaneità è imponente (non a caso il covid - 19 è parte integrante del racconto) cosi come il tentativo di stratificare ulteriormente i vari personaggi.

As usual, today I am bringing you inside a new Preview of an article that in a few days or weeks you will see In the Mind of a SerialFiller, my blog entirely focused on the world of TV series and of which, for the past few months, I have decided to constantly give you, in advance of what I will publish, most of the posts you will see on www.serialfiller.org.
Ready and pumped to enter the SerialFiller Globe top 30?
Fisticuffs of yesteryear were seen in the pubs of TV City in Albuquerque.
Many series were jostling for a seat at the table.
Only five managed to live this dream.
They would have to watch their backs from those left out but, apparently, the game was worth the candle.
Take a seat at the table as well and at the end of the post express, through the proposed poll, which of the series mentioned here have won you the most applause.

#30 - Snabba Cash (Netflix)
Sweden rejoices.
It is in the top 30.
It is thanks to a title you would never imagine seeing in Scandinavian lands.
Snabba Cash is a Gomorrah-like gangster drama, all about money, blackmail and blood.
Lives adrift-which intersect in the bloodiest of ways resulting in a must-see show, with a furious pace and an extraordinary ability to keep you glued to the screen.
Highly recommended.

#29 - Hacks (HBO)
Hacks has won a lot of awards and deserved them all, especially thanks to an actress like Jean Smart (Watchmen, Fargo) who made her own a highly charged and difficult role that has, however, brought her so much luck.
We are in the parts of pure dramedy so nothing too heavy but neither, for that matter, shallow.
#28 - The Good Fight (CBS All Access)
With The Good Fight we enter the ranks of those series that I have always adored and that I think everyone should try to catch up on.
It is, along with This Is Us, the only series available on generalist TV that still deserves a viewing and deepening.
In this season, the narrative only seemingly disunites and moves away from many of the themes previously addressed and then places a final twist that ties up all the threads again and brings us, hands and feet, back into the story and into the contemporary.

#27 - Ted Lasso (Apple TV Plus).
Ted Lasso's second season doesn't live up to the first, but it comes very close. The mustachioed coach experiences a more complex and, if you will, more intimate football and existential season.
The Richmond sports challenge continues, and for the first time he is introduced and true internal villain in the series (made except for Rupert in the first season).
The team grows stronger, despite the many moments of rupture, and there is no shortage of laughs.

#26 - The Morning Show (Apple TV Plus).
More Apple TV Plus to finish today's five-part series.
The Morning Show is perhaps the flagship series on the Cupertino platform. One of the first to debut and the one that, thanks to an outstanding cast, has fed the hype of subscribers to the platform itself the most.
Again, the second season, like Ted Lasso, does not break through as much as the first but manages, nonetheless, to exhilarate in some specific phases, especially the final ones.
The lunge on contemporaneity is impressive (not coincidentally, covid - 19 is an integral part of the narrative) as is the attempt to further stratify the various characters.

Bonus Track: The Nevers (HBO).
We end with a bonus track devoted to a series that appeared in early 2021 and then literally disappeared from the radar despite a start not to be disdained.
Joss Whedon is behind the scenes of this sui generis super heroic series that thrives on so many "I wish I could but I can't" that often, however, turn into excellent television, excellent entertainment.
