Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.

Dire che in questo episodio accade di tutto è, forse, riduttivo.
Quello che colpisce, però, è che questo sommovimento non si serva di grandi battaglie, spade affilate ed eserciti agguerriti per palesarsi ma lo fa attraverso gli oramai intrighi di palazzo che finiscono, finiranno, e sempre hanno finito, per intrecciare i destini di tutti i personaggi, di tutte le casate.
Un re Vyseris visibilmente invecchiato, ma ancora vivo (cosa non scontata dopo la "caduta" con cui si concludeva il quinto episodio) sembra aver regnato in pace, serenità e prosperità in questo periodo di tempo imprecisato in cui una giovane Rhaenira è diventata donna a tal punto da essere ritratta, sin da subito, come una madre di ben 3 bambini, bambini a cui saranno legati i destini di vari personaggi che popoleranno questo determinante episodio.
Ed è proprio il parto a farla da padrone, insieme al fuoco ed alla genitorialità, in questo episodio.

Non è un caso se la puntata inizia proprio con la scena del parto di Rhaenira. Un parto tranquillo, ben riuscito e senza intoppi a tal punto da permettere alla stessa ragazza, oramai donna, di recarsi dalla regina Alicent quasi immediatamente e al fine di mostrarle le fattezze del nascituro che scopriremo chiamarsi Joffrey (se avete pensato al giovane Baratheon non siete i soli, sappiatelo).
La colorazione scura dei capelli, in linea con quella dei 2 fratellini, e la consapevolezza pregressa degli accordi intercorsi fra la giovane Targaryen ed il giovane Valeryon ci fanno accarezzare l'idea che gli eredi al trono, in quanto figli della futura regina Rhaenira, siano, di fatto, dei bastardi.
Scopriremo che il padre naturale uno dei membri più nobili della Guardia Reale, figlio della "Hand" di Re Vyseris. Harwyn Strong, figlio di Lord Lionel, detentore del castello di Harrenhal, è il padre dei 3 figli di Rhaenira ed amante segreto di quest'ultima.
Le voci si susseguiranno, il palazzo si riempirà dei bisbigli di sudditi e nobiluomini, finendo, ben presto, per creare scompiglio in quel di King's Landing.

As usual, today I am bringing you inside a new Preview of an article that in a few days or weeks you will see In the Mind of a SerialFiller, my blog entirely focused on the world of TV series and of which, for the past few months, I have decided to constantly give you, in advance of what I will publish, most of the posts you will see at www.serialfiller.org.

To say that everything happens in this episode is, perhaps, reductive.
What is striking, however, is that this upheaval does not use great battles, sharpened swords and fierce armies to manifest itself but does so through the now palace intrigues that end, will end, and always have ended, to intertwine the fates of all the characters, of all the houses.
A visibly aged but still living King Vyseris (which is not to be taken for granted after the "fall" with which the fifth episode ended) seems to have reigned in peace, serenity and prosperity during this unspecified period of time in which a young Rhaenira has become a woman to such an extent that she is portrayed, from the very beginning, as a mother of no less than 3 children, children to whom the fates of various characters who will populate this decisive episode will be linked.
And it is precisely childbirth that takes center stage, along with fire and parenting, in this episode.

It is no coincidence that the episode begins precisely with Rhaenira's childbirth scene. A calm, successful and smooth delivery to the point that the same girl, now a woman, goes to Queen Alicent almost immediately and in order to show her the features of the unborn child that we will discover to be called Joffrey (if you thought of the young Baratheon you are not the only one, just know that).
The dark coloring of the hair, in keeping with that of the 2 little brothers, and the prior knowledge of the arrangements between the young Targaryen and the young Valeryon make us fondle the idea that the heirs to the throne, as children of the future Queen Rhaenira, are, in fact, bastards.
We discover that the natural father one of the noblest members of the Royal Guard, son of King Vyseris's "Hand." Harwyn Strong, son of Lord Lionel, holder of Harrenhal Castle, is the father of Rhaenira's 3 children and secret lover of the latter.
Rumors will follow one another, the palace will be filled with the whispers of subjects and noblemen, ending, soon enough, in turmoil at King's Landing.
