Discovering the Photobook Cafe
Photo? Yes
Coffee? Yes
Books? Not really, but I can get into it.
Here I am looking for a place in Shoreditch and this area is known for all the cool and eclectic places that you can visit, when straight away I see the Photobook Cafe.
It seem like my ideal place to stop and have my coffee.
That's what I did, entered and went to the bar straight away to order my coffee.
I was very lucky to find a sit here in this corner, I am short, so sometimes this high sits are not the most comfortable but since this ones were not too tall I was still able to sit comfortably.
The atmosphere was super cool, we were just surrounded by cool cameras and a lot of books that you could purchase. So this is actually a great idea. I am honestly not the biggest book reader, but I should change that and start reading a little bit more.
Some other people were also getting some work done.
The place was very busy and all the sits were taken, that's why I have said earlier that I was lucky to find that sit by the window. There were no other tables empty.
Other than outside. This is a plaza with no traffic and I bet that it is amazing to be sitting here on a hot summer day, but the temperatures have been between 0 and 10 Celsius and since I wanted to stay there for a while I thought it was not a great idea to sit outside. But next summer day I just might come back.
The reason I wanted to stay a little longer and comfortable it was because as per usual I wanted to get some work done. You know that I like to work in different "offices" every single time. And it is so cool that I have the option to choose where do I want to get some work done.
Let's talk coffee wise, the person behind the bar thought I wanted the coffee to go, since I haven't said anything and also I think I haven't even saw that there were one sit by the window for me. I don't mind that. What I was not really into was the fact that the coffee size was so small.
You know already that I prefer my Americanos to be served in huge portions, the second upsetting reason was that the coffee was actually really nice, so I just wanted it to be a little bigger.
But working with a vision to the street, to see life going on while I was working and enjoying the coffee was really nice.
Wanted to share some of the cameras in exposition and also to let you know that this place is also kind of a club, where you can get a membership and get some benefits as a member when it comes to buy drinks and food there but also in the photography services that they offer.
I am leaving you here the link to the Photobook Cafe so you can check all about the membership.
