Free ZL Limiter: Open-Source Mastering Limiter for Windows, macOS & Linux
ZL Audio just put out a free, open-source limiter, and it's a proper one — true-peak limiting with up to 32x oversampling, a scrolling waveform display, and full loudness metering (momentary, short-term, integrated LUFS, true peak, the works).
It splits the job into two envelopes so transients and sustained passages get handled separately, with lookahead, a stereo delta control, and a delta listen mode so you can hear exactly what's being shaved off. It runs VST3 on Windows, macOS and Linux, plus AU on Mac and LV2 on Windows and Linux, and the download needs no account or email.
One heads-up: this is a first public pre-release (v0.0.1), so the dev suggests trying it in an empty session before trusting it in a mix.
