Vintage Silver Highlights - 1985 A-Mark Libeerty Bell Round
Collection Highlights -
I have another vintage silver round to share today. I was able to pick this one up over Christmas when I was able to go to my local coin shop that tends to be one of my best sources for vintage rounds. This is another A-Mark eagle or Liberty Bell round. This makes my third year of the series. They were minted from 1982 to 1989 with dates and I believe 1990 was the undated version. That means there's nine possible versions to collect and I currently have shared three of them. I'm always keeping my eyes open for the years I don't have and I hope to find them all eventually.

These were all consistent and have the same measurements in size. They also all have the same designs. If you want more information on the mint or the specific rounds check out the link below to agroundworld, one of my favorite sites.
- Thickness 3.00MM
- Diameter 38.5mm
- Edge Reeded
- Minted 1982 - 1989 & undated 1990
Obverse
I got really lucky with these as you can tell by the photos that is our basically uncirculated. There's almost no damage to the fields or where, there's no toning these things are bright as a day that came out of the mint and that's pretty impressive for something that's almost 40 years old. Majestic eagle looks great on the app first and it's clearly the 1985 version. My photo was a little off as I took this with a lamp, and not a natural light. Some of the coloring is a little off but it's the best they could do given that it's winter and it's dark more often than not.
Reverse
The reverse does have some tiny specks of Tony that's starting to come in, but overall still looking very very good. Nice Liberty Bell right in the center with a call out to what makes her country great which is the pursuit of life liberty and happiness, it's the journey and it's not guaranteed. Everyone gets an opportunity to pursue those things, but you don't get it without working I really like this design overall and I'm glad that there are nine different versions for me to collect. I think it's nice to have the Liberty Bell in the back that reminds me very much of the Franklin half dollars end of our history.
If I end up finding any more I will post them as well and Link back to this posts. I'm hoping to someday be able to link to all nine versions in a single post.
