Hardware wallets today
Okey so normally i would not post anything like a video with a short amount of text, but a few people i know just sent me this video about a new cold wallet and i got so exited about it! I haven't been able to do much research on the device yet but so far it looks very good to me. I own a Nano ledger S myself to accumulate certain altcoins for the future, but the thing that bothers me with the Nano S is that it has alot of limitationsm such as:
- it's main purpose is to store coins for the longterm
- you can only use it with a laptop
- if you want to backup your wallet you have to fill in 24 words
- it's still in contact with hackers if you plug your Nano S in your laptop
Orasaifu wallet
If we compare this to the new Orasaifu wallet it seems to me that this new wallet is designed to not only store crypto for the longterm but even allows you to pay with your coins instantly. And if i am not wrong you can even upload your credit card onto the device and pay with the device instead of the card itself. I sometimes forget that Trezor and the Nano S were the first hardware wallets out there on the market. Yes its functional, but also the first of its kind. And i think we all know that everything that's developed in early stage has plenty of room left for further development. And with this new cold wallet like the Orasaifu i feel like they have taken in account that a coldwallet should be much more than what cold wallets are today.
Don't get me wrong about the Nano S, since i am still a big fan of it. Keeping your coins on an exchange or webwallet is still a nogo for me. Maybe if we are talking about small amounts of BTC on Coinbase or Bitmex its fine i gues, but when we are looking at longterm assets i think a coldwallet better suits the job.
