After meeting me you will know that I laugh at things that are not funny and you will understand the maniacal rage of my gaze in the face of cruelty. After you meet me and I'm done with you, there's only one question you can ask yourself: "do you still like clowns?"
Since my participation in the Halloween Event, I was fascinated with the spooky possibilities of the AI for artistic purposes, so I continued to create more horrific characters like this scary clown who is not at all cute and who you probably wouldn't want at your birthday party.
I admit I was somewhat inspired by Heath Ledger's magnificent portrayal of the Joker in Batman - The Dark Knight, hence the green hair, the big cheeks and the timid purple tints in the facial makeup; but of course I added very different features like the yellow teeth and the scars on the eyes to create a unique and original character.
On the other hand, the clown has been turned into a symbol of horror in the last 30 years, thanks to films like It, which have firmly embedded themselves in popular culture. At the same time, clowns are synonymous with joy, the tender childhood of a small child and a colorful sunny day.
Particularly this contradiction generated by two different points of view of the same stereotype, attracts me a lot; because I think that in art clowns are like a double-edged sword, on the one hand they can be tender and kind to children, and on the other hand they can be dark and terrifying beings. So if someone tells me that he is afraid of clowns, I just believe him.
Regarding technique, I am still highly interested in details, textures and high contrast; the latter continues to be one of the fundamental pillars in my work. Equally, I really enjoy continuing to play with colors, achieving bright, garish hues that scream "Look at me!" to the audience.
Likewise, this last year I have perfected my technique with respect to color, since I carefully adjust the tones to saturate some colors more than others and also achieve a chromatic contrast and not only light.
I try that each of my works is a step forward in my artistic journey, I put all my heart into each piece I work on and I don't finish until I am completely satisfied; on some occasions I have even made 2 or 3 versions, I evaluate them, compare them and in the end I decide on just one.
I've also really enjoyed the experience of sharing and posting my art on @nftshowroom as well as blogging about it here on Hive. I also have to add that
@alienarthive has become my community par excellence, since here not only has my work been well received, but I have also been able to learn about other people's work and interact with them.
Currently, I have also found myself very busy, but it is always pleasant to take out even a space of time a week to dedicate to the blog and my people.
Psycho Clown is available at NFTShowroom for only 6.5 Hive and I only minted a single edition, it is possible that in the future I will mint at least 3 or 5 editions of my works; but for now I prefer that they remain unique and that they are available at a very affordable price that allows anyone who wants to participate in my collections.
