I don’t see the internet or social media responsible for anything other than amplification. It’s kind of like HD tvs that show you how ugly people look close up 🤣

Not nearly as much has changed as our ability to see how things actually are and it’s a shock for people.

I can see a million things that contributed to this kind of inhumane attitude people have towards each other. The biggest is people’s desire to simply everything into very clear good vs. evil and right vs, wrong.

Life will get more and more uncomfortable for people in their echo chambers. It will convince more people to go out and see what is happening else where and to build bridges while others self destruct by various means.

While I believe in free speech, I also think that if we don’t earn it through humility, it will destroy us, and if it does, so be it!

No one should cheer for the death or suffering of others. It’s their right to do so, but if there are no adults in the room to tell them what massive jackasses they are being, the culture will implode.

There are plenty of circles with positive things happening, but the algorithm only feeds you them if you disengage with the negative shit
