I really respect people who can consider nuance, I wish it were more common. The way I’ve approached this whole issue is just to think in likelihoods and to accept that there really is no way to know what’s real. There are obviously many people who are pushing different narratives. It feels rather obvious that peoples best interests aren’t the first priority of those pushing them, but is it A third or fourth priority? Or are they totally indifferent or even malevolent? I really don’t know.
All I know is that nuance is really important.
