It was a great month in March in regards of my posting. Although I didn't get the monthly authors badge.
Don't know how cause I could've sworn that I posted everyday...
I did fairly well, managing to post twenty nine days out of the thirty one. I could never have gone that far in my posting streaks if not for

The monthly initiatives is looking to be something that's here to stay for there's one in April too, and this post is a reply to the prompt for today.
Heritage...
This prompt at first is one that left me stumped. Surely I have a bunch of heritages, both cultural and individual. Yet, I was at a loss on what to write about.
That was until I was reminded on a meeting I had in school. Then a thought flew into my head, following was a topic, and afterwards a full post...
Educational Heritage
Heritage as we all already know is something we inherit from something. Either something of tangible or intangible value.
Well, in schools, almost nothing carries more heritage than a student body. And in Nigeria, in Engineering, there's no bigger student body than NIMECHE.
The Nigerian Institution Of Mechanical Engineers (Nimeche) is a student body organisation comprising of both Mechanical and Mechatronics students. It's actually a subdivision created from the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) that was created so the Mechanical division of NSE could be handled efficiently and since it's creation since 2002, it has truly prospered, taking roots and creating chapters in different universities across different states, and now in 2024, its clearly a force to be reckoned with.
Today, I was part of the congress held by the newly elected executives of the Uniport Chapter (That's my school) and all I could say is that I could feel the weight of the heritage in the air.
The vibe and ecstasy of being part of something greater than yourself is something that truly can't be ignored.
The congress talked about different matters which I won't talk about in detail.
Since it was the first Congress under a new set of executives, we were simply trying to get things working smoothly, talking about future plans for our department and orientating the freshers to the organization and how best to maneuver in school.
Normally, the jubilations and sharing of drinks and laughs is a must.
The whole idea behind the body of NIMECHE is the familiarity.
Despite our different classes and departments, we are one.
That's what a student body is, that's what Nimeche is, that's our heritage.

Las iniciativas mensuales parecen ser algo que lleg贸 para quedarse porque tambi茅n habr谩 una en abril, y esta publicaci贸n es una respuesta al mensaje de hoy.
Herencia...
Este mensaje al principio me dej贸 perplejo. Seguramente tengo un mont贸n de herencias, tanto culturales como individuales. Sin embargo, no sab铆a sobre qu茅 escribir.
Eso fue hasta que me recordaron una reuni贸n que tuve en la escuela. Entonces un pensamiento me vino a la cabeza, lo siguiente fue un tema y despu茅s una publicaci贸n completa...
Patrimonio Educativo
El patrimonio como ya todos sabemos es algo que heredamos de algo. Ya sea algo de valor tangible o intangible.
Bueno, en las escuelas casi nada conlleva m谩s herencia que un alumnado. Y en Nigeria, en Ingenier铆a, no hay mayor cuerpo estudiantil que NIMECHE.
La Instituci贸n Nigeriana de Ingenieros Mec谩nicos (Nimeche) es una organizaci贸n estudiantil compuesta por estudiantes de Mec谩nica y Mecatr贸nica. En realidad, es una subdivisi贸n creada a partir de la Sociedad Nigeriana de Ingenieros (NSE) que se cre贸 para que la divisi贸n Mec谩nica de NSE pudiera manejarse de manera eficiente y, desde su creaci贸n en 2002, realmente ha prosperado, echando ra铆ces y creando cap铆tulos en diferentes universidades en diferentes estados. , y ahora, en 2024, es claramente una fuerza a tener en cuenta.
Hoy form茅 parte del congreso realizado por los reci茅n elegidos ejecutivos del Cap铆tulo Uniport (Esa es mi escuela) y lo 煤nico que pude decir es que pude sentir el peso de la herencia en el aire.
La vibra y el 茅xtasis de ser parte de algo m谩s grande que uno mismo es algo que realmente no se puede ignorar.
En el congreso se trataron diferentes temas de los que no hablar茅 en detalle.
Dado que era el primer Congreso bajo un nuevo grupo de ejecutivos, simplemente est谩bamos tratando de que todo funcionara sin problemas, hablando sobre planes futuros para nuestro departamento y orientando a los novatos sobre la organizaci贸n y la mejor manera de maniobrar en la escuela.
Normalmente, el j煤bilo y el compartir tragos y risas es imprescindible.
La idea detr谩s del cuerpo de NIMECHE es la familiaridad.
A pesar de nuestras diferentes clases y departamentos, somos uno.
Eso es un cuerpo estudiantil, eso es Nimeche, esa es nuestra herencia.
