Hello everyone, I'm Gladness and this is my application post to the newbies initiative.

My Thoughts About The Initiative

The newbies initiative is a scheme aimed at helping newbies like myself. Its main aim is to simplify and getting new members of the hive community acquainted with the system to the end of dispelling all bewilderment as to how to thrive in this community of creatives.
Practice, we know, leads to mastery. The whole process will be achieved using the student-centered method of learning. That is, tasks will be assigned from time-to-time to ascertain we follow what is being taught.
The initiative also aims at encouraging the concept of "community", that is, it brings newbies closer and allows interactions.
One enticing thing that newbies should look forward to is the growth this program would help achieve.
I believe it is a must-join for newbies because mentorship is a salient factor to success in any area of life. Therefore, I'd highly encourage any newbie yet to apply to do so today! The deadline was extended to allow more participation, so gracious right?

And just in case one is not chosen or not qualified for the program, participation in the interactive sessions are allowed, so you still gain anyway.

My Reputation And Hive Power...

Currently, my reputation stands at 49.23 and I have a hive power of 8.7.
I’ll be looking forward to having multiples of that by the end of this program.

Why I am So Excited About The Initiative:

When I joined hive about a month ago, I was super excited. But after my introductory post, I was overwhelmed and got a bit of a cold feet. Thanks to weekend engagements by @samostically, I've been able to shed some of that. I find this initiative thoughtful and needed because I'm sometimes lost in the trail of the hive community conversations and this will help me to be a proper member of the community. And of course, I'll get to meet and interact with more people.
It'll also help me in posting consistently as newbies participating are expected to publish on a frequent basis.

I’d like to appreciate @starstrings01 @aliento @projectmamabg and everyone involved in the newbie initiative project. A big thumbs up to you guys.

My Usual Content

I'm an ardent believer in the lifestyle section of content writing and so most of my post will be based on that. I also do song covers, photography and editing content, photo manipulation, just to mention a few.
