One fine afternoon, as the sun was starting to greet me, I decided to visit a park near where I live. As a plant lover, I am passionate about exploring and photographing some of the plants that catch my eye.
As I walked through the gardens around me, my eyes immediately fell on the alluring Aglaonema. Aglaonema or what is often called the "dragon stick" has colorful leaves that are refreshing to the eye. There are many aglonema colors that show a touch of beauty and one of them, like the one in this post, has such an amazing combination of colors and leaf patterns, as if each leaf has a unique story to tell.
Not far from Aglaonema, there is a Purslane plant that caught my attention. Purslane, which is also known as Croton, is a plant with leaves that come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Some leaves show a mix of red, orange, yellow, green, and purple, creating a spectacular display. I was amazed to see the diversity of these plants, as if I wanted to convey the message that beauty lies in differences. And what's even more interesting, I took this Purslane plant in a concrete hole with holes and the Purslane plant thrives in the concrete hole as shown in the picture.
However, the thing that caught my attention the most was the Calathea Peacock. This plant captivates with its unique beauty, because the leaf pattern resembles a dazzling peacock feather. Calathea Peacock is a type of Calathea plant that has large leaves with wavy lines and striking color combinations. When the sunlight hit them, it was as if these leaves glistened with an astonishing sparkling color.
I take slow steps to enjoy every corner of the garden and find the best angle to capture this beautiful moment. Adjusting composition and lighting to get good photos is an interesting challenge for me as an amateur photographer. Several times I had to crouch or bend over to get a more unique view.
While taking these photos, I reflected on how important it is to preserve nature and the beauty this plant has to offer. They are not only decorations, but also an important part of the ecosystem that supports biodiversity and natural balance.
After a few hours at a nearby park, I'm satisfied with the photos I got. I feel lucky to be able to witness and capture this natural beauty on my smartphone.
However, the Aglonema, Purslane and Calathea plants around the garden have given me an unforgettable experience and made me realize how extraordinary the plant life around us is. Hopefully this post can inspire anyone to appreciate and protect the biodiversity around you more.
