This in itself has been quite a God story. Because I really, I could have never dreamed of meeting the people I have. I'm not going to name names.
But the friends I've made, the connections I've made, it's really been much like yourself. It's really been a God story for me as well. So I can definitely relate to you on that level.
And I'm very appreciative and honored that you have opened up your space for me to share my story. I really enjoyed hearing from you and hearing what else you have to say. Guys, if y'all want to engage with the doctor, please grab a mic and put your hand up.
We've got, I will, there's something else I want to talk to you about though, and that is, that is what, what do you think, what's going on with, how did you, well actually let me back up a bit and go back to something you said. How did you become fascinated with politics? Was it because of the circles you run in with liberation theology? Was it because of that that naturally, or did you think, was it because you thought politics was the vehicle for social change? Yes, because I thought politics was the vehicle for social change. As I said, I was raised in a very privileged family and I always felt guilty that I had so much and people had very little.
So there was some of that, that took me to really try to understand what power is and all the things are related to power. So since I was very little, I was very interested. If you go to the origins, to the etymology of the word politics, politics is what happens in the police, in the city.
It's a Greek word. So everything that we do is really political because we all live in this city and in society. So, yeah, that's, that's how I got there.
Well, I also, when you mention police, you also think of the state because the state is the only one that has police powers. The power to lock you up, the power to declare war, to fight guns, to send armies to destroy, they can lock you up, they can destroy your reputation.
