I watched doctor Finn come in, he was punctual as usual. In his hands, he held a tray holding the usual garbage. I didn't need to look at it, it was probably syringes, sedatives, and the whole other members of the trash. All it meant most times was that someone needed to be put to sleep. And I knew it wasn't me.
Opposite me, my roommate was perched on one side of his bed, his hands and legs restricted by specialized cuffs. He was madder than most of us, they said. Well, I guess it is a good thing he would be put to sleep now. Good for him, and good for us all I guess.
I watched doctor Finn go to work, he had his back turned to me. But I watched his back until he was done. I think...
And when he was done, and started to leave, I waved...
"Hi Doctor"... I think that was what I said.
But when he turned and looked at me, I froze...
It wasn't Dr. Finn...
It was my roommate.
THE END
OOOH, THERE IS A PSYCHO ON THE LOOSE...
