Yes, this is something that my mother did especially in old time there were not much money for products and those ones just minimal that is easy to get and also easy to cook. Of course only time consuming is the process of making the little cushions, you need to have a chair to sit down, otherwise will have cramps in legs. But the good thing is that often we freeze some and it is ready for the next time then you defintiely save the time for the process and only cooking 10 min or 15 when they are frozen :)
