Hello friends,

Yesterday I posted my first caricature and I was glad to see some reaction to it. because it was the first time I was very curious if people like it or not.

Luckily I received a first comment from @maxwellmarcusart, the user who when I visited his blog is a great expert of drawing. I had a feeling that it takes him just a couple of minute to create his work, many of them are done with pencil too, so I was surprised that only means he does not need to erase the mistakes, maybe he does not mistake.

What I appreciate the most is that he not only write a comment but also he advised me to pay attention to shading, that was actually something that I was hesitating to do. I told Max because of using just a pen I was not sure if shadow will merge to other lines and that will merge them not leaving a space between a shadow and for example the face or hair. He also reassured me to try, because if people do not try they do not know if that will work or not. On other hand if we do not try and make mistake we will not be able to improve ourselves.

I also thank @erikah for her lovely comment and her encouragement. That is the way how the words can motivate people to move forward.

Just because today is Sunday and I am having another day off I decided to try another drawing and to implement the advise of Max. The character? Yes, I decided to stay with our Politician, because next week we may find who of the two Politician will be next PM of UK.

Liz Truss

This time it is Liz Truss, the opponent of Rishi, it seems that she might win. She is serving as serving as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. She is also one who supports the politic of Boris Johnson. So who knows who we will have next but we will see. In meantime, I wanted to share with you my version of Liz.

I used again my block note and a black ball-pen, this time a bit more shading but not too much, again starting carefully and gently. I am satisfied with result and would be great to hear your opinion.

Process of work

First, the oval shape of face, I actually started in the middle, at the end you can see that this is too low, so next time I should start a bit higher.
