So... when I first joined Steemit everyone seemed pretty adamant about posting every day. And, honestly... they may be right. I see the people who are doing so make some pretty decent money, while I smile at any post that makes even close to 50 cents. Sure.
But I still smile... and I feel like when I DO come in here and make a post, it's because I have something to say and that I think it's worth hearing. Not because I needed to make my quota for the day. Which... is sort of frustrating at times I guess. Frustrating enough to have made this post a reality. But overall, free money is free money. And SteemIt has given me a lot of entertainment... in reading, debating things, and even writing some fun code against it's framework. All without posting every day, and all while getting a little bit of money here and there into my pocket.
I call that a win.
I don't use my VP to the max every day, or ever really... I upvote when I have time to read, and like what I read. That's it. For a while I even went ahead and leased out my SP because I was using it so rarely.
So to new posters... my advice: don't get too caught up in the whole get-rich-quick aspects of SteemIt. It's a fun platform, and just relax and enjoy the rewards as they come to you. Not a big deal.
