So I've been here for 4 and a half days. I fly out in the morning, and thought I'd make offer review of the place.

Our first night here we got to our resort around 6. We ended up getting a pretty sweet deal from CheapCarribian and "won" the Hilton in their mystery resort package.

My first impressions of the Hotel were good; the staff were very friendly, it was very neat looking (a historical building actually), and the room was great. We were upgraded to a king bed, though still a City view (not like we were going to hang out in the room with a perfectly good beach downstairs). And this tub (actually soaking in it as I type this) is so amazingly deep...

Outside the hotel our first stop was the beach. Hilton has a private beach which is just gorgeous. Perfect sand, perfect slope for swimming and splashing. The free kayaks/etc are neat, though it's pretty limiting on where they let you take them. Made the paddle boards sort of useless as by the time your up you have to turn around... Kind of annoying.

Drinks on the beach were... Well.. I don't actually know. We didn't do all inclusive and frankly everything at the hotel was absurdly overpriced. Especially considering there was a liquor store across the street and a dozen bars around the corner.

We didn't spend a ton of time at the resort (though many of the other guests seemed to never leave it) but instead set off to explore.

First stop: Fish Fry.

This is a spot where food shacks and food trucks are king. Offering up a variety of foods, drinks, music and island atmosphere. Our first bite was to be our most memorable, including making a friend. "Butter's" food shacks, where a great personality was whipping up fruity booze delights. We pulled up a picnic table and started chatting up the locals who were gathered there. Our bartender, Daniel, is now a FB friend and we've been sure to stop in and see him every night. Except tonight... I'm beat. The food we've had here on our trip has been great, but the ribs from Butter's... Well, we've talked about them every night since. After full bellies and intoxicated heads were established we headed back to sleep off our flight (and our drinks).

Going to wrap this up and relax... But stay tuned for day 2.
