So... Several people I know are discussing ways to dodge taxes on crypto. Avoiding exchanges that DOX you, ATMs, localBitcoin.com, etc.
Why?
Yeah... Taxes suck. Then again, so does having a shitton of money that's hard to use. If you make $30,000 a year, cash out huge on BTC for a million, but have to pay 30% of it in taxes.. it hurts. I get it. But you're also still MUCH better off than you were (well done) and don't have to worry about losing it ALL if the IRS does manage to catch you. Or arguably worse... Being stuck with it in cash you can't spend.
Just claim it, pay some taxes (you know, the things that fund stuff like schools/roads/the welfare you were possibly collecting when you were broke/etc) and enjoy your rewards without the added headache and stress of worrying about tax evasion. It's just not worth it.
