This article is a case report of oxalate nephropathy caused by high doses of vitamin C. In the article, the patient presented with acute kidney failure requiring dialysis. When questioned about diet he was ingesting daily amounts of 480-960 mg of vitamin C (for 3-4 months) as part of the intake of powdered orange juice. All other causes of renal failure were ruled out. The renal biopsy showed intratubular deposition of calcium oxalate crystals with tubulointerstitial inflammation
