The weekend is definitely the time of the week I want to take for myself, but I don't manage to do it always. Well, maybe that's just a rumor too.

Something definitely has to be done, one way or another, let's say we do our own activities over the weekend, not for someone else. If you are not self-employed and have your own business, of course. Or you only have half a weekend :)

This is a short story about half a weekend.

Last Sunday. My mother calls me to come and help her in the garden. A little thing, of course. She's a bit older and sometimes she needs help.
At eighty-one, she just can't do it all by herself.

She was preparing the garden for planting and there were some large stones that I removed in a couple of minutes. And I used the time to take some more photos of the flowers in the garden.

I would describe them but I'm not an expert :)
Maybe I should use image search? Yes, you can, I've done it before, but it takes too much time. Anyway, real specialists will already recognize the flowers ...

Then I went home.
Lunch. And then I say goodbye. Even though it was Sunday, I had to go on a business trip, otherwise, I wouldn't have made it on time.
I go by car to Trieste airport (Ronchi), park there and then on to Rome.

The flight was calm and pleasant and after an hour we landed at Rome airport (Fiumicino). Take the train to Termini central station.

I've been to Rome many times, but every time I arrive at this train station I get a kind of association with Isaac Asimov's Terminus, in his stories it was the central planet of humanity in the galaxy. He probably named it after this place, because Terminus is already was considered a kind of crossroads from Rome, the center of the world.
Well, it could also be I could be wrong. 😁
