When it comes to an explosive ruleset and the mana is high the first thing I think about is using Jacek as a summoner. In this battle we have a triple ruleset of Noxious Fumes, Explosive Weaponry and Equalizer, this is quite an interesting combination. Despite the complexity introduced by this triple ruleset I still chose Jacek for his plus two speed, scattershot and piercing abilities.
Additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up.
Include a unit with Reflection Shield in your lineup to absorb blast damage and protect your back line.
The Strategy
"Speed Kills" The strategy here is literally to kill the opponent using speed. I chose Jacek which give all of my monster additional two speed. Also, I chose Supply Runner that gives all my monsters additional one speed and Countess Sinash that also gives one speed boost to the whole team. So that is plus four speed on top of already fast monsters.
My front tank is Gargoya Lion which is boosted to six speed with flying making it a hard to hit monster with anything but magic and it comes with a void which cuts down on a magic damage. Additionally I chose monsters with a relatively high damage output so that there is lots of blast damage.
Supply runner also boosts health of all my friendly monsters and Molten Ash Golem reduces health of all the opposing monsters with it's weaken ability.
I also brought two monsters with a stun to try to stun opponent team before they have a chance to fire a shot. Additionally my Djinn Inferni has a giant killer ability that is likely to be useful in a fifty mana battle.
Let's see how this strategy works out...
The Summoner
Conqueror Jacek is the perfect summoner for the blast ruleset. Speed makes sure that we fire first and are harder to hit, piercing lets us use melee and ranged monsters without having to worry about shield and scattershot ability prevents our opponent from controlling which monsters we hit and spreading damage all over their lineup.
1st Slot - Flying Tank with Void
Gargoya Lion is one of the cheapest cards in the game and you will not see it used very often as a primary tank in a high mana battle. But this card comes with a flying and enrage abilities which in combination with a speed provided by Jacek and Supply Runner and Countess Sinash make it hard to hit. Additionally it has void which reduces magic damage.
2nd Slot - Secondary Tank and Stun/High Damage Output Monster
Lava Launcher is an epic card with five damage and base speed of three. It also has a very high shield of seven and stun and close range abilities that should come in very handy here.
3rd Slot - Speed Boosting Monster
Supply Runner is a common Chaos legion card that is key to our speed play. It boosts and strengthens all monsters on the friendly team. Additionally it comes with a three ranged damage and five base speed.
4th Slot - Magic Damage Dealer Monster
Djinn Inferni is an epic monster that comes with a base speed of four and five magic damage. This monster is great to play in the equalizer ruleset because normally it comes with only four health points for the seven mana cost and in equalizer it can take on health of the largest monster on the field. It also has important stun and giant killer abilities that would come in very handy in the high mana explosive weaponry ruleset.
5th Slot - Demoralize and Weaken Monster
I chose Molten Ash Golem for his demoralize and weaken abilities as well as the close range ability. It also comes with a nice three ranged damage.
6th Slot - Swiftness Affliction Monster
Countess Sinash is a great support monster that is critical in the explosive ruleset due to her swiftness and opportunity abilities. Affliction is also very useful in case our opponent brings a tank heal to the battle. It is a legendary monster that is also well suited for the equalizer ruleset as she comes with a base health of only four. She also brings four speed and ranged damage to the field.
THE BATTLE
It looks like my opponent decided to go with a green team for this battle. He brought in a heal and two triage monsters as well as the two taunt monsters. It is a good thing that I chose Jacek and it gave all my monsters a scattershot ability. Still this is a pretty good team we are against. Let's see how it will workout.
In the first round we were able to get one stun on their queen mycelia and we did a pretty good amount of damage across the whole enemy lineup:
And in round two we took out their whole team without them being able to fire a single shot!
