Had a great day working from home with a principal software engineer on setting up his local Docker development environment for Sitecore 10.5 development.
We verified that everything is working properly on his machine. We discovered that his SOLR indexes were missing so we used GitHub Copilot to resolve his issue with missing indexes.
We then setup the MCP Server for his Azure DevOps and an MCP Server to work with Kubernetes through his Lens software.
It was a great collaboration, but after a three hour Teams call I was getting tired and he said that his brain is shutting down. There was a lot of new information for him in those three hours and I was tired of non stop talking.
I was also the designated driver of our daughter today talking her to and from school and after work me and my wife went for a short walk around our neighborhood.
I also did a quick half an hour workout. The walk and the workout helped me to get over eleven thousand steps. So a good day overall.
