Yesterday was so much fun that I didn't even manage to do a post and so I am catching up this morning as I woke up early before anyone else is up.
In the morning I made my wife her usual coffee and granola cereal for myself and our daughter. Then I opened up the HVAC filtration systems and determined which replacement air filters I need to order both of them turned out to be the five inch thick filtration media.
I ordered both on Amazon and since I went with off brand choices and skipped the charcoal filter media for downstairs they were only around thirty dollars each.
I also discovered that while Amazon offers free delivery in less than twenty four hours on the mainland, as soon as I put in our island address it switched to a three day delivery for one of the filters and four day delivery for another as the fastest options.
I also adjusted the salt level on our water softener to have a minimum amount of soap to be dispensed, because I guess we are just not used to the very soft water.
I also looked up and discovered that we don't have a little bit of white paint for touching up a few spots outside on window frames and trim. When you own the house it is always something that needs to be maintained...
Then I asked my wife if we should go to the Sweet Sisters store in the nearby town, but it turns out that they are only open eleven to three and only Thursday through Sunday. Then we decided that it is time to go out and do something fun.
So we drove to a Greenbank Farm to shop at a couple stores that sell kitchen stuff as we need a few more basic items for our kitchen. And while there we decided that we are going to eat at the new French restaurant that just opened a couple weeks ago.
Well at least that was our plan, as we arrived to the Greenbank Farm we discovered that both stores are closed until Thursday so we went for a quick walk in their garden which was really pretty with all kinds of flowers, trees and vegetables.
Fifteen minutes later it was time to check out the French restaurant that opened up at 1 PM. As we approached the restaurant we saw that it had a hand written note in the window.
It said something along the lines of: "Due to your overwhelming support we need to rest and recharge and rearrange our kitchen. We will be back shortly. "
Lol, so much for shopping and trying out the new French sit down restaurant. Whidbey Island business is really different... So it was back to our favorite sandwich shop Greenbank Patry and ordering kitchen items from Amazon...
