Hail to the Hive!
We are back on the road again, well the canal I should say, and making our way out of Wales along the Llangollen Canal and back into England.
As good a time as we have had in Llangollen it is nice to be back on the move again. We lassed this way over five weeks ago now and the weather wasn’t so great and it is now glorious and a real pleasure to watch the landscape roll slowly by.
This big fella caught my eye as I cruised past. A once mighty tree all sawed up and seemingly clinging onto the canal bank for dear life but looking like he will inevitably fall into the water at any time.
Hopefully a boat won’t be passing under when that happens….
Well at least we made it past safely. I can only imagine they cut it back so much to stop the weight from causing it to fall over as it does seem to still be alive.
Farewell stumpy! I wonder if you’ll still be there next year when we return?
