“This solstice is strength”
Or so the natives believed
For them it was a spiritual sign
And its occurrence brought them relief
For the Sundance they prepared
Whilst the sun shone on their Tipis
For the solstices aligned with their compass
Raising their spirits high like palm trees
Meanwhile in other parts
The length to which the sun locks its gaze
Is prolonged like a Catatumbo lightning
With the beauty of the summer daze
This single yet long day of summer
With beautifully sun-lit ambience
Where the earth bonds with the sun
Producing a fruitful ethereal essence.
