I saw this monument by chance when I was walking around the city in the first days of my move. The installation itself is more than two meters in size, in the grotesque features of which the features of Alexander Pushkin, characteristic of his self-portraits, are easily recognizable. The shade is made of tinted high-quality cement. At the foot of the shadow, the modern sidewalk was replaced by a fragment of cobblestones, typical of Odessa streets of the early XIX century.

The sculpture is dedicated to Isaac Babel is a Russian writer of Ukrainian Jewish descent. He was born in Odesa on Moldavanka and his numerous stories vividly showed the life of Odesa.

Meet the square of "History of Football". A place that should be visited by everyone who is interested in this sport. There is a museum of football history nearby, but due to quarantine, I could not visit it that day. On the granite, pedestals are copies of football cups, under which is written the history of trophies. Also on the steles are carved the names of clubs that in different years owned a cup.
You can also see a monument to the three Ukrainian owners of the Golden Ball. These are Oleg Blokhin, Igor Belanov and Andriy Shevchenko.

In the city of Odessa in the City Garden, there is a wonderful interactive monument, which stands on the site of a hurricane-destroyed tree of lovers. The monument is called "Odessa time". The monument "Odessa time" in Odessa is a kind of Big Ben. The sculpture is located around a two-meter clock, which in any weather shows the most accurate time. The clock is surrounded on all sides by bronze characters, who represent Odessa residents of different ages, generations and nationalities, representing all periods of human life.

This column is part of the architecture of the Vorontsov Palace and is included in the Register of Cultural Heritage of Odessa, as an architectural monument of national importance. The colonnade was built in 1826. The author of the project was the Italian architect Franz Boffo, and the building was made in the style of classicism.

In general, it is a monument to Catherine II and her associates - Jose de Ribas, Franz de Vollan, Gregory Potemkin and Platon Zubov. All these people are involved in the fact that in blossoming acacias appeared a city near the Black Sea - the beautiful Odesa. It was rebuilt on the ruins of the Greek-Tatar Hajibey in 1794. Thus, the Odesa Opera and Ballet Theater is the oldest opera house in Ukraine. The version of the theatre that tourists and locals can see today was built in 1887 under the direction of Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer in the Viennese Baroque style. The Twelve Chairs is a 1971 Soviet comedy film directed by Leonid Gaidai. It is an adaptation of Ilf and Petrov's 1928 novel The Twelve Chairs. Timeless humour and phrases that have long become winged, prompted the sculptor Mikhail Revu to immortalize the memory of these wonderful Soviet humorist writers. It is quite natural that such a monument appeared in Odesa because is a city of humour.

The new sculptural composition was solemnly opened on Deribasovskaya Street, opposite the monument to Utesov. It is called "The Voice of Odesa" and is a bronze gramophone. By pointing the phone at the QR code placed on the sculpture, you can hear the works of 13 famous Odesa authors: Utyosov, Zhvanetsky, Oistrakh, Nezhdanova, Gilels, Richter, Feltsman, Obodzinsky, Dolina, Stoyanov, Kartsev, Coralli and Vodyanoy, - and sounds that convey the Odesa flavour - announcements at the station, the anthem of Odesa, issued by the chimes at the City Council, the chime of the tram and much more.

Monument to A.S. Pushkin is a bust of the poet cast from bronze, standing on a granite pedestal. This is one of the best monuments in terms of portrait likeness. It is the third in the history of the city and the second monument to Pushkin after the Moscow one on Tverskaya Street.

This sculpture has nothing to do with any real cat. It is dedicated to a man who contributed to the greater popularity of Odesa with his talent. This man's name is Jan Gelman. He is a famous Odesa playwright, screenwriter and three times champion of the Higher League of KVN.
