We had two excessively-snowy winters in a row, about 17 years ago. And they came right after a super-wimpy winter. I suppose that's why it annoys me when a weather reported uses the word "normal" to describe a weather pattern. There is no such thing! Average, yes. Typical, maybe. Normal, no way.
