First off yes this is an old season picture but I have been watching the show since the first season which is where this picture was from.
I have really enjoyed the Masked Singer over the last few years. Music is one of my joys in life. The Masked Singer seemed like a really cool show, listen to live music and try to figure out who is under the mask. The Rabbit and peacock in season 1 which is pictured above were great singers and always created a show on stage. My wife and I watched this show every week.
So now I will get to the problem. I don't know why everytime there is a great show on TV it needs to get political. Why can't a show just be a show. Let entertainment just be entertainment. Just a few weeks ago the Masked Signer lost two loyal watchers.
First let me say that when someone is famous they need to act better then the average person. They should never act out of the normal for society because they are looked at as role models and should always be proud to be someone children and adults can look up to.
So know what made two loyal fans turn away from the show. I don't want to talk about the political reasons for what happened because no matter what side of the fence you are on, what happened should never happen. What I am talking about is the childish behavior from one of the judges.

This season one of the characters singing was a Jack in the Box. Not the best singer but anyone who gets on stage in front of America and sings deserves some credit. That has to be a difficult thing to do, no matter who you are. A few weeks ago the Jack in the Box was revealed and it was Rudy Guiliani.

When Rudy Guiliani was revealed you could see the disgust on the judges and host's faces. The host of the show Nick Cannon looked disgusted as well but asked Rudy Guiliani, "With all the controversy surrounding you why would you come on this show." The answer Rudy Guiliani gave was he has grandchildren and wanted to show them they can do anything. Nothing political about that statement. I would also like to add that nothing was said by any judges, hosts or contestants that was political at this point. So no matter what side of the political scale you are on, that seemed to be a straight forward answer. There is definitely nothing someone can gain from this show by being a contestant on it politically, because the show is not a show about politics.
I give credit to the judges and host of the show because even though they did not seem happy with Rudy Guiliani being on the show, they kept their composure, like they should. An entertainment show is not a political platform which seems to be forgotten in Hollywood lately. So we get to Ken Jeong, I have liked his comedy and respect him for being a doctor that has become a comedian actor. But that all ended with his disrespectful display when Rudy Guiliani began to sing after being revealed.
I don't believe entertainment is where politics should be played out. Ken Jeong has lost all my respect in the same way Collin Kapernick destroyed my view on the NFL. I have not watched an NFL game since Collin Kapernick kneeled during our National Anthem. Again the Collin Kapernick incident that occurred should never be involved in entertainment. Even if you believe Collin Kapernick was doing the right thing, kneeling during the National Anthem shows disrespect and in most countries you would have something bad happen to you. But Collin Kapernick was protesting Police Brutality against black people which we all agree should not happen but it has nothing to do with the National Anthem. So disrespecting the Nation and the country that has made you millions of dollars was wrong.
Ken Jeong just did the same thing as Collin Kapernick. Ken Jeong walked off stage in a childish manner saying he is Done. Here is a clip of the reveal but the part of Ken Jeong walking off stage is cut off as it is in most videos I can find.
So in a show that is all about entertainment why did one bad actor ruin the show. Ken Jeong was an idol for many children and many people look up to him. However, he forgot that his job is entertainment and his unprofessional actions destroyed me from ever wanting to watch the Masked Signer or any Hangover movies ever again. Hollywood needs to entertain and not sell there political views that is not what they are getting paid for.
This seems to be a reoccurring theme, why can't we just enjoy movies and TV for what it was originally about. ENTERTAINMENT!!!
