                                Ode to the Crocodile

                                A Sonnet
                            by schnotty

My crocodile, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you eat, hoot and flap,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the major cap.

Let me compare you to a gorgeous tune?
You are more yellow, terrific and tall.
Right sun heats the banal peaches of June,
And summertime has the horrific gall.

How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your cold ankle, feet and humour.
Thinking of your mellow feet fills my days.
My hate for you is the intense roomer.

Now I must away with a better heart,
Remember my bold words whilst we're apart.
