The great part of the digital age is that it's incredibly easy to take photos anywhere, anytime. The downside to this ease is losing track of photos in an avalanche of digital images. Once the number of photos gets into the thousands, it gets so much harder to keep track of what you've shot.
For some reason today, I decided to look through the library on an iPhone photo app I've used for years, Camera Plus. Through each iPhone upgrade, the app and all of the old photos have remained. I've mostly used the app for editing but occasionally I used the app to actually take the photo as well. I found this one today.
This is from a trip to Boston almost 4 years ago now! That's the oldest I have in this app but that's a long time to forget about a photo. These photos got "lost" as I added to the library for editing and then never returned. Eventually, these fell so far down that I never scrolled to see what was at the bottom. The great news is I uncovered a few gems I'm happy to have back and I'll post in the next few weeks.
Mostly, I've been good about sorting and labeling folders of photos (along with triple backup!), but every once in a while something falls through the cracks and gets "lost". I guess it's the price to pay for being in the digital age.
Does this happen to anyone else?
