In our surveying office we got an octocopter for the aerial image evaluation. I would like to introduce you to the little monster in his park position. Since the take-off weight exceeds 5 kg, a lot of things have to be considered before the thing can go into the air. We use it to overflow gravel pits, whose amount is then calculated by means of 3D-model. The software examines the images according to identical points and builds a large orthogonal photo, in which everything can be measured, the accuracy goes up to one cm.
Some special features: GPS, prefabricated flight way, independent backflight in case of battery shortage, wind safety up to 10 m/s, 15 minutes flight time, ground station, control unit. In a later post a typical work unit with photos and evaluation will be shown.

Da das Abfluggewicht 5 kg überschreitet sind jede Menge Dinge zu beachten bevor das Ding in die Luft gehen kann. Wir benutzen es zur Überfliegung von Kieshalden, deren Abraummenge dann mittels 3D-Modell berechnet wird. Die Software untersucht die Bilder nach identischen Punkten und baut ein großes Orthogonalphoto zusammen, in dem dann alles gemessen werden kann, die Genauigkeit geht bis zu einem cm.
Einige Besonderheiten: GPS, vorgefertigte Flugstrecke, selbständiges Zurückfliegen bei Batteriemangel, Windsicher bis 10 m/s, 15 Minuten Flugdauer, Bodenstation, Steuereinheit. In einem späteren Post wird dann eine typische Arbeitseinheit mit Fotos und Auswertung gezeigt.
