Im no musician, but I get the point about a bunch of kit you never really properly use, maybe you buy an item and use 25% of its feature set, then one day in he future after the item is long dead, you clear out a drawer and find the manual. At this point I usually get a shot of nostalgia for that old kit, and wonder why I never actually read the manual instead of making it drawer-fodder.
