Splinterlands is a cool game on the Hive blockchain. To be honest, I had not thought much about it until I noticed the players getting a lot of returns way back in 2019.
After going through a lot of family situations, I finally decided to join the city of Neoxian where I met a group of players who kept discussing splinterlands and I think this got me interested in the game. So, as a serious player now, I am writing down a few strategies that I observed.
- if you get the 'flying' ruleset, try to include a 'snare' monster too, so that you can stop the enemy's flight
- if you include a 'tank' with thorns along with magic reflect and if the summoner has a heal, then it will be quite an unapproachable team
- learn from mistakes - try to observe the enemy's strategy and select your team carefully
- make sure you submit your team well before the timer runs out
- you can change your choice of summoner but be careful to select the team before the time runs out
- sometimes, you might wonder as to what prevented the win. Do observe if your opponent had a debuff and if that is what caused you to lose the match
- being a gamer is fun, so do not give up easily
- get up and walk away if you are on a losing streak
- try to level up before the last day of the season
