Most of you may be fond of watching YouTube in your free time. With the widespread popularity of the internet and social media increasing its influence slowly but steadily, more and more people are used to watching youtube and TikTok, etc,
Recently, I noticed a trend among lifestyle youtube bloggers. China is out of limits. So, the next best deal is India. With a huge population that can be counted as 'VIEWS', many vloggers are bent upon catching the 'Indian eye' and thus gaining popularity and through it, money.
The majority of these so-called vloggers are from outside India or NRIs. The focus is on cultural differences and food. So, you can see hundreds of videos of people trying to eat a 'Masala dosa' for the first time or feeding their family and friends.
At first, these videos seemed to be genuine but I observed that it became a trend and people now do it deliberately of sorts to get views.
YouTube is entertaining but if a vlogger has nothing but food enjoyment or rants or personal woes and the like or just plain observations or other boring stuff, people will be just as quick to unsubscribe and it is not a surprise. Some videos even come off straight as 'staged' which is a put-off, of course.
There are exceptional vloggers who take the pains to produce quality content and such people never have to worry about their subscriber base because people would watch even their previous videos for the content.
One such lady is Veena's curry world. She is a homemaker who is an excellent cook and teaches her viewers to make even complex dishes look simple. Besides cooking videos, she also does travel vlogs sometimes.
I will provide the links and you can decide to watch if you like.
My interests are varied but usually, I check the tube for quick recipes, and let me tell you, Bake like a pro is one guy who taught me the basics of baking.
I have watched Albeli Ritu, Kishanell, and my love from Korea, and all are good enough but too much mushy stuff can be boring.
I would recommend you to watch RujutaDiwekar videos. She is a famed nutritionist who knows her job.
Okay, there is a long list but you might wonder if I am spending a lot of time watching all these. The truth is that I get some free time and I spend it playing splinterlands, a bit of this and that, and watching videos. With the onset of covid and the near absence of relatives and guests popping in, some free time is there for me to enjoy.
How do you enjoy your free time? I am sure many of us started watching videos online after the pandemic started. It was a boon of sorts because we would have felt the pinch of being locked indoors all the time. I do hope that the pandemic disappears and the world witnesses a healthy phase again.
Do mention the youtube vloggers that are favorites of yours.
I also watch a lot of music videos.
Here is one of my favorites.
Which ones are your favorites?
