Introduction

Hi! saydie@saydie here playing Splinterlands everyday!

This is Exploring the Chaos where I take a look on Chaos Legion cards including their subsets such as Riftwatchers and the Reward cards, as they brought new abilities and strategies that changes how the game was played.

The topic for some time now was about the review of the core cards of the Chaos Legion and so far, I have come to finish with the core cards under the common and rare rarity. Beginning this week, I will be covering the core cards of Chaos Legion of Epic rarity with the Fire Element

Also in this post are the details on how to get a free weekly SPS delegation. You can read the details below.

Battle 1: Forgotten One

up-close-&-personal.png
Up Close and Personal
Only monsters with 00-melee.png Melee attack may be used in battle.

This battle has the Fog of War Rule set which disables the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities and it was partnered by Aim True which makes 100% of the attack to not miss its target and Up Close & Personal that means only monsters with melee attack can be used which comes my placement of Forbidden One as a tank as it brings huge melee damage output as well as the having the Piercing ability that deals the extra damage from the opponents armor to its health. What's more is that it has the Retaliate ability that gives 50% chance to attack all the melee monsters that attacks it, meaning it can attack as many times as many monsters that attack Forgotten One during a round regardless of their position just like how it deals damage on Bramble Pixie that attacks it in the 2nd position.

Battle 2: Tusk The Wide

broken_armor.png
Unprotected
Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.
explosive-weaponry.png
Explosive Weaponry
All Monsters have blast.png Blast ability.

This match comes from my recent brawl under the silver tier and has the Unprotected ruleset which removes all types of armor on all monsters with the Explosive Weaponry that gives Blast ability on all monsters. What I did her was place Tusk the Wide as my main Tank as although it was quite slow, it gets some speed increase from my monsters and summoner but what is most important is that it has the Void ability which is good for blocking half of the magic damage I received with my opponent having a magic- focused team like how it only received 2 damage from Goblin Psychic which got 3 magic damage and at the same time got more health than Unicorn Mustang which cost more mana to use.

Battle 3: Djinn Inferni

ConditionsDescription

50 Mana Cap
Available Elements:01- fire.png Fire, 3-Earth.png Earth, 6-Dragon.png Dragon

born-again.png
Born Again
All monsters have the Rebirth.png Rebirth ability.

image.png

With this battle, we only have the Born again ruleset for the match but this gives the Rebirth ability on all monsters which means they will self resurrect after being defeated once. With this, I have chosen a Fire- Dragon team and placed Djinn Inferni for my third position which works just right as the opponent uses Grum Flameblade for its tank and cost 11 mana so Giant Killing will work just right together with the Stun that makes it unable to attack for a turn.

Final Thoughts

This has concluded my review for the core Fire epic monsters of the Chaos Legion. Forgotten One and Djinn Inferni were epic cards with good utility. The Immunity that Forgotten one was really useful on Noxious Fumes ruleset while its Retaliate and Piercing are really effective against melee monsters added to the fact that it can inflict some serious damage per attack while Djin Inferni would serve as an Anti-Giant for dealing big enough magic damage for any monsters but it will be doubled once its target has more than 10 mana. Not to mention that it has 50% chance to inflict Stun and make the opponent immobile for a turn though it would be great if it can have at least 2 more health to not be a target of Opportunity attacks. Tusk the Wide was also a very decent tank that has some protection against magic attacks but sometimes I think that its Inspire does not compliment its position as a tank as the buffs would be gone once the monster was defeated.

That was all for this post and see you on the next one!
