1 Mental Anchoring Effect
When you collect satoshis, you see them as valuable units of a scarce asset (BTC). Spending 4,000 satoshis feels painful because your mind associates them with a fraction of Bitcoin, an asset you highly value.

2 Perceived Scarcity
Bitcoin is perceived as scarce and valuable. Each satoshi is a part of a whole limited to 21 million BTC. Spending satoshis is like giving up a portion of an asset you consider an investment.

3 Mitigating Conversion Effect
When you exchange BTC for Dash, you create a psychological barrier: you are no longer spending “your precious satoshis,” but another currency, less emotionally charged. This reduces the pain of the spending.
