Today I have the day off from work. On her way out the door my wife turns to me and says

"Can you please clean the kitchen today?"

"I'll try to honey. But honestly, I don't know if I'll have time for that."

"Why what are you doing today?"

"Well I plan on going on steemit and writing an article. You know, I'll make some money for the household."

She rolls her eyes as she walks out the door.

"Just please, clean the kitchen."

Hours pass at the computer...

After countless amounts of time spent vigorously typing, choosing just the right pictures, formatting the article and posting the finished product to the platform, I text my wife at work.

"My article made 0.04 cents today. So yeah, I think the numbers speak for themselves. Steemit is time well spent. I told you it was worth it."

I will pay you $10 to clean the kitchen.

THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!! ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY!!!

Sitting.. Staring at the computer screen....

Dammit, I better go clean the kitchen before she gets home.
