My Life Fell Into Place After I Quit My Job
A couple of days ago, i quit a job that was destroying my life, and i meant literally i was falling into pieces. The environment there was toxic-so I decided to change my situation. I knew I was the only person responsible for my own happiness, and only I had the power to change my circumstances and by staying there I felt i was betraying myself.
I took me around two years of really thinking it , but in the meantime I Felt I was dying slowly, so i decided to finally quit my job I knew I had to do it when I realized I felt unemotional and had plenty of valid reasons for quitting. These feelings had been building for months, and they were more than your average "woe is me, I hate my job" thoughts. My boss did ask me to stay, she even offered some new position but I explained to her that I refuse to allow anyone to speak down, disrespect, or bully me, especially in a professional environment.I told her i was a good person and i didn’t deserved to be treated in a hostile way , that i did my best but it was necessary to close this circle, that my time was up and i need to do it for me and my family .Her expression was priceless.
I was a bit worry because I had not secured another position.
I had prepared emotionally when I quit my job but not quite financially, but I still have my husband’s and daughter’s support.
I believe nothing is more empowering that a sense of healthy self-respect. After all, if you don't set boundaries for how others treat you, no one else will. You're always worth it!
So now i start a new journey in my life, hopefully i will do it fine, i needed desperately recover myself and my self esteem.
Life is too short to live it depress and angry, i dont deserve it and i believe i need to be happy because i am an example to my daughter.
So let's see how it goes, I hope we find our mission in this life because memories are all we will take and are all we will leave in this world, people will be talking about our life according to how we had been living it, so lets put our lives in a good use.
