There are so many times in which I’ve found myself feeling so bad and miserable because I felt life is really unfair. I saw injustice and suffering everywhere, in every aspect and level of society, starting from the education system to the political one. The authority figure didn’t mean a thing for me, as I believed that it was not ruled by justice, genuine concern for people or equality and impartiality.
Everyone has its own discernment of what is right and wrong. These standards established prior in society, can be adapted by each individual, only to the extent of his perception of the world, what kind of influence he has had in his life, the environment in which he has grown and in which he resides now and the education he had received.
The environment plays a great deal of importance when it comes to our perception of the world. We can better understand this by remembering how we have felt in certain situation of our lives.
How the world seems so beautiful and warm, when we are surrounded by the people we love and how much joy we feel when we do something we like with our friends and family; the positive energy that is in the air when we go to a concert, at a festival or some other kind of gathering, where all or almost all people are on the same vibe. In these situations, life seems wonderful and we cannot see the other side of the coin.
At some point, each and every one of us has felt that we were being mistreated, and the universe is playing a very painful and cruel trick on us.
Who is really making our lives so unbearable? Who could possibly be so evil and malicious?
Why seems like everyone is trying to hurt us?
As we turn away from these situations when all that we can think and feel is soaked in a sea of darkness, we suddenly start to feel a little better. That can only mean that the environment has a great power over us; our state of mind and being is influenced by our surroundings and by the people in our proximity.
We all have felt distressed, uncomfortable and in a general bad mood when the people around where either angry or sad.
There are also times when we feel miserable no matter where we are or by whom we are surrounded.
The power of how we feel lays inside us, how we perceive the reality and world around.
We can enjoy life only to the extent of our desires.
The world doesn’t really change, only our perception does. Maybe we can contribute to our wellbeing only by trying to see the world from another angle, from another perspective.

When we cannot see the connection between cause and effect, everything seems to be out of order and sense.
As we try to change our perspective, to fully comprehend the great scheme of things, the bigger picture, all contradictions disappear.
Maybe all the suffering that we been through had a sense, and it was not all in vanish. We believe that the world is objective and external, but it is only a projection of our mind.
Happiness depends on the quality of our thoughts and how well we know ourselves.
All the pain and suffering need investigation, we need to go deep inside and to discover that everything comes from only one thing. It is only our perception that makes us believe and feel the way we do. Once we will realize that, good and evil dissolve in one all-embracing concept.
“As you watch your mind, you discover your self as the watcher. When you stand motionless, only watching, you discover your self as the light behind the watcher. The source of light is dark, unknown is the source of knowledge. That source alone is. Go back to that source and abide there.
