Covid-19 seems to be back with cases surging more than thousand cases in India, and we have been all down with viral flu like symptoms, with severe body pain, throat irritation and a little fever. My first line of defense has always been some naturopathy, possessing that knowledge makes me very attached to them. Mom always gave us natural medicines by following an Ayurveda book, written by a very famous Ayurveda doctor Laxman Mishra, back in sixties and several publications of that book has been done since then.

We still have that paper copy at home, but few years back, I was able to grab digital copies of those books (in pdf format) and whenever we face some health issues, I check those books and see, if we can have a quick natural remedy. For any particular issue, there are several solutions given in the book, but the hardest part is finding those natural ingredients, so I choose the one that can be easily available.

This one is a proven remedy which worked like a miracle in last Covid, can you guess which leaves are these ? We all recovered in just one day using this in last Covid time.

Parijat or night-blooming jasmine is believed to be a plant from heaven and has capability to treat flu and feverish condition, inflammation, sore throat, joint pain, respiratory problems and boost body's immune system, apart from some other benefits. Now tell me, will you get a single English medicine that would give all these benefits without any side effect ?

We have a plant right near the temple and there could not be any better medicine than this - so I grabbed 15 leaves for two doses. Two doses would suffice to bring you back in action with full of energies and all body pain gone. Mixing a little pepper powder and black salt, makes the drink tastier and the lady nicely prepared the drink.

Crush 7-8 leaves in the grinder with very little water, so that it becomes a thick paste, and then add water, otherwise, it won't be mixed well. You can filter and drink the juice alone, or drink it in entirety, which is more effective. And with every Ayurveda treatment there comes a caution - use in moderate quantity, else you may face some adverse effects.

And what I love from these practices is that, the boy is also learning in this process and he does not like English Medicines as well - they don't provide a solution, just a temporary remedy. Using naturopathy and homeopathy has fixed some of his health issues, strengthening his belief further - more to come on that...
